Musings of a distracted mind....
Too old to be id'd.... too young to be flattered by it.

Not only do I want the kitten…. I have that feeling!

One of the few nice photos of me…. :)

I don’t think I’ve mentioned anything about The Frames here, but they are one of my favourite bands (as unpopular a statement as that is nowadays) and this is one of my favourite songs… Red Chord. This is Glen Hansard singing it in the 2nd season of the Other Voices (which is an amazing show!).

Just a couple of photo’s I took late last year of different statements around the city that I found interesting :)

Today is a woot entry! Finally booked our accommodation for Paris, and am now ridiculously excited! It’s gonna be amazing! And I got my hair done over the weekend, shorter than it’s been in quite a while and really curly… it’s all good….

Also have some crafty projects coming up, which could be a lot of fun! Things are all good… and now for sleep me thinks!

Hmmm, in the last while I’ve realised that I seem to have a fundamental flaw as a female, particularly in comparison to my female work colleagues… I don’t notice good looking men (or women) unless I come into contact with them.

I’m regularly being whispered to check such and such a guy out, and to be honest I have no real interest in it. I don’t get the physically attractive thing, unless there’s a personality attraction there. I just don’t notice them ever…

Have women become more likely to objectify men in the same fashion women were objectified for years… Or has it always been this way, and I’m only noticing now? Am I the odd one out, because I don’t spot an attractive man a mile off?

I’ve just walked past a homeless person asleep sitting up, wrapped in blankets, and at his feet was a little terrier, in the same position, also wrapped up in a blanket, asleep, it was heartbreaking.

I don’t think Dublin’s homeless problem is worse than any other city’s, but Dublin is my city, and this is just so wrong. I really wish there was something I could do to help all of those people, but I don’t have money to spare and I very rarely have time.

Why hasn’t the government fixed this, in some way. How can they possibly think that hundreds of their people living and dying on the streets is okay. All well and good saying get a job, but if you don’t have a fixed address that’s kinda difficult. These people are unlikely to be voters, as again, no fixed abode… So they have a government whom they haven’t had a say in, who is failing them in the worst possible way.

They are the most vulnerable group in society and are completely forgotten about. Have we become so selfish a people that when it comes to election times we speak only for ourselves and what effects us directly? :(

This is Socs, the monkey, she was a birthday present! Isn’t she the cutest thing ever?

My friend drew this bird, I’m thinking it’s very very cute, and you should go check out the other stuff on the blog… particularly socks the monkey.. she’s soooo cute :)
